The FunCakes Mix for Sponge Cake Deluxe makes the perfect base for all kinds of cake. Fill it with cream and fruit fillings and cover it with marzipan or sugar paste, or create a beautiful naked (wedding) cake!

Mix for Sponge Cake Deluxe

Sugar, wheat flour, wheat starch, emulsifier: E472b (palm, rapeseed), E477 (palm), raising agent: E500, E341, E450, E336, E575, glucose syrup (dried), milk powder (skimmed), salt, flavouring, thickener: E415.

Preparation

Ingredients need to be at room temperature.

Put the mix, eggs and water in a bowl.

Mix at high speed for 7-8 minutes.

Then mix at low speed for another 2-3 minutes.

Grease the baking pan with Bake Release Spray.

Fill the greased baking pan up to two thirds with the batter.

Place the cake in the preheated oven.

Don’t open the oven during baking!

Tip! The cake is ready when it feels springy to the touch.

Release the cake from the baking pan immediately after baking and let it cool down on a cake grid.
