Mix for Choco Sponge Cake

Sugar, wheat flour, wheat starch, skimmed cocoa powder (5%), emulsifier: E472b (palm, rapeseed), E477 (palm), barley malt, glucose syrup (dried), leavening agent: E500, E450, skimmed milk powder, burnt sugar, thickener: E415.

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C).

Mix the FunCakes Mix for Choco Sponge Cake with the eggs and water in a bowl and mix at high speed for 7-8 minutes.

Then mix at low speed for another 2-3 minutes. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan (1/2 to 2/3 full).

Bake the cake in the preheated oven. Do not open the oven in between! The cake is ready when it feels springy to the touch.

Release the cake immediately after baking and let it cool down on a cake grid.
