Sunflower meringue pops
What you need to make sunflower meringue pops:
- 125 g FunCakes Icing Sugar
- FunColours Gel Brown
- FunColours Gel Yellow
- FunColours Gel Orange
- FunColours Gel Bright Green
- 125 g granulated sugar
- 4 egg whites
- 10 g cornstarch
- FunCakes Lollipop Sticks 15cm
- FunCakes decorating bags

- Wilton Tip #4B Open Star
- Wilton Tip #366 Leaf
Beat the 4 egg whites on the highest setting until frothy. Add 125 g FunCakes Icing Sugar, 125 g sugar and 10 g cornstarch bit by bit while you keep the mixer running. Add some orange colour gel and mix it on the highest setting for 6 – 8 minutes until it becomes a glossy and stable foam.
Tip! Make sure the mixing bowl and whisk are completely grease free.
Divide the foam into three portions, two bigger portions and a smaller one. Colour the bigger portions brown and dark yellow. Use both the yellow and orange colour gel to create the dark yellow foam. Colour the smaller portion of foam green. Place the brown foam in a decorating bag with #1M, the yellow foam with #4B and the green foam with #366.
Preheat the oven to 110 ° C (convection oven 100 ° C).
Cover the baking tray with baking paper and place lollipop sticks next to each other with enough distance apart. Now spray a rosette over the lollipop sticks with the brown foam. Make the leaves of the sunflowerwith the yellow foam and add a green stem. Let the flowers dry in the oven for 2 hours.
