Golden pastries

Ingredients

  • 250 g FunCakes Mix for Cupcakes
  • 400 g FunCakes Fondant -Bright White-
  • FunCakes Mini Chocolate Rocks -Dark-
  • FunCakes Edible FunColours Gel - Brown
  • FunCakes Clear Piping Gel
  • FunCakes Metallic Spray Gold
  • 5 eggs (approx. 250 g)
  • 250 g unsalted butter
  • Jar apricot jam

Necessities

  • FunCakes Roll Out Powder
  • Wilton -Perfect Height- Rolling Pin 22,5 cm
  • Silikomart Semisfera Mould
  • Sieve

Recipe

Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C).

Heat the jar of apricot jam in the microwave and push it through a sieve with a spoon. Put this aside covered with plastic foil.

Prepare 250 grams of FunCakes Mix for Cupcakes as indicated on the package. Divide the batter in the silicon mold and bake the cakes in the middle of the preheated oven in approx. 18 – 22 minutes until golden. Let the cakes cool down in the mold and carefully remove the cakes from the mold.

Coat the cupcakes with a thin layer of apricot jelly.

Tip! Put the silicon mold in the freezer for an half our, then it will be even easier!

Colour the fondant brown with the gel. Roll it out on a work surface sprinkled with icing sugar to a thickness of about 1 – 2 mm and cover the cupcakes with this.

Spray the cakes with the golden metallic spray and let it air dry for a while. Spread a little piping gel along the bottom edge and push the chocolate rocks against it with your hand.
