Gum Paste White

You can use the FunCakes gum paste to make flowers, leaves and very fine decorations. This gum paste is a quick-drying paste that is a lot stronger than sugar paste, allowing you to roll it out very thinly and create fine, detailed shapes. By using gum paste you can make petals extra thin and frill the edges without tearing them. You can get the gum paste in any desired colour with the FunCakes colourings.

Preparation of Gum Paste White


Knead the gum paste paste well until it is soft, smooth, stretchable and free of wrinkles.


If desired, colour the gum paste with the FunCakes colourings and shape it into any desired shape.


The gum paste can be used immediately.

This gum paste is snow white, which makes it great for making white sugar flowers without adding extra colouring. The gum paste from FunCakes can be coloured with food colouring.
