Recipe of Dino cake

1

Colour the 500 FunCakes Sugar Paste White in various shades of green, yellow, and light blue. Put 1 dino colouring sheet in the plastic slipcase and from the other colouring sheets cut individual parts. Coat the backs of the loose paper parts with crisco otherwise they will stick to your fondant.

TIP! Make the dinotopper two days earlier so it can dry properly!

2

Roll out the sugar paste thinly and cut out large and small leaves. Let this dry for 2 days! Lay the cut-out dino parts on the sugar paste and cut them out neatly using the cutting wheel. Finish the edges with Modelling Tool Flowers/Leaves.

TIP! Place all parts on the plastic slipcase with the dino picture, so you know where the parts belong.

3

Use the smallest size oval plunger for the dino’s scales. Cut them out and cut them in half. After this, stick them against the back. Stick all the dino parts together with a little edible glue and leave to air dry for 2 days!

4

Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C) and grease the baking pan with Bake Release Spray.

5

Prepare 150 g FunCakes Mix for Biscuit Deluxe as indicated on the package. Spoon the batter into the baking pan and bake the biscuit for about 30-35 minutes until done. Immediately after baking, dump the biscuit on a cooling grid and leave to cool.

6

Prepare 200 g FunCakes Mix for Buttercream as indicated on the package.

7

Cut the biscuit 2x with the cake leveler and fill and spread all around with jam and buttercream. Leave to set in the fridge for half an hour.

8

Knead the FunCakes Covering Paste White smoothly and line the cake with it. Make it nice and smooth and tight around the cake using the smoothers. Cut away the excess sugar paste.

9

Take a piece of green sugar paste and knead a big blob of crisco through it. Put this in the extruder with a small hole and make a long string out of this. Stick the string in loops on the side of the cake with some edible glue. Roll out all the other colours of sugar paste thinly and cut flags out of this. Stick these against the flag line with some edible glue. Stick a few small leaves on the top of the flag line.

10

Colour what buttercream you have left light green and put it in a decorating bag with adaptor and decorating tip #032. Swirl a nice shell border along the bottom edge.

11

Stick a skewer into the top of the cake, using some buttercream, stick the dino and a few large leaves against it. Decorate further as you like with large and small leaves.
