What you need to make your apple pie:
- 500 g FunCakes Mix for Cookies
- 20 g FunCakes Mix for Crème Patisserie
- 150 g unsalted butter
- 30 g sugar
- 8 apples
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp corn flour
- 1 egg (about 50g)
- FunCakes Bake Release Spray
- FunCakes Magic Roll Out Powder
- Patisse Profi Springform pan Ø24cm
Preheat the oven to 170°C (convection oven 150°C).
Prepare 500 g of FunCakes Mix for Cookies according to the instructions on the packaging. Let the dough set in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Roll out the dough on a dusted work surface and line the bottom and sides of the greased baking tin with about ¾ of the dough. Mix the sugar, cinnamon, Crème Patisserie and corn flour in a bowl and add to the apples. Place the apple wedges in the tin.
Roll out the rest of the dough, cut into strips and place over the apples. Brush the dough with the rest of the egg. Bake the apple pie in about 50-60 minutes.
Tip! Mix some finely chopped walnuts, finely chopped hazelnuts or raisins through the apple wedges. Put 125 g almond paste (mixed with some beaten egg) or some crumbled bitter cookies on the cookie dough and then place the apple wedges on top.
