Let the fondant come to ambient temperature.

Knead the fondant firmly until it is smooth and elastic.

Dust the work surface with a bit of icing sugar and roll out the fondant with a rolling pin to an even shape (2-3 mm thick). Turn the fondant a quarter to prevent sticking.

Are there still small cracks visible on the edges when the fondant is rolled out? Knead again firmly until the edges are smooth when rolling out. Then the fondant is ready for use.

The rolled fondant from FunCakes has an improved rolling quality and a smoother texture. This makes it even more easier to use. After processing the fondant hardens. For a round cake with a diameter of 24/26 cm you will need about 500 gram of fondant to cover the complete cake. For bows and decorations you can add 1 full teaspoon of FunCakes CMC – Tylo powder to 250 gram of fondant and a bit of water. Knead well before use and roll-out on a thin layer of icing sugar.
