Recipe of Bella Blue Galaxy cake with stars

Preheatthe oven to 180°C (convection 160°C) andgreasethebakingpanswithFunCakes Bake Release spray.

Prepare 330 g FunCakes Mix for Sponge Cake as indicated on the package and divide the batter over the three baking pans. Bake the cakes for approx. 35 minutes until golden brown. Let the cake cool down by using a cooling grid.

Prepare 200 g FunCakes Mix forButtercream as indicated on the package and flavour with a FunCakes Flavour Paste of yourchoice.

Cut thecakes twicewith a cake levelerandfillthelayerswithbuttercream. Stack thetwo 15 cm cakes on top of eachotherwith a matching cake board in between. Cover both cakes with a thinlayer of buttercreamand let set in the fridge foronehour.

KneadtheFunCakes Sugar Paste MellowYellowuntilsmoothandrollit out on a worksurfacedustedwith icing sugar to a thickness of approx. 2-3 mm. Cover the cakes withthesugar paste. Stack the cakes on top of eachotherusing a trimmed cake board andsomedowels cut to size.

For thedecoration, kneadtheFunCakes Sugar Paste Bella Blue andMidnight Blue untilsmoothandlightly combine them to create a marbled effect. Do notkneadfortoo long, otherwisethe colour willbecomesolid blue. Roll out thesugar paste to a thickness of approx. 1-2 mm and cut out circlesthat fit thesmallest star cutter. Then cut the stars out of thecirclesand let them dry in the air foronehour.

Attach the circles with cut-outs stars in straight lines against the cake using FunCakes Edible Glue.

Insert the horns and eyes into the cake. Optionally break off a piece of the lollipop sticks for variation in height.
