What you need to make your monster cake in bella blue:

Recipe of Monster Cake in Bella Blue

1

Cut 1 FunCakes Dummy Round in half. Knead some FunCakes Sugar Paste Bella Blue until smooth and roll out small thin sheets. Brush the whole and half dummy balls with FunCakes Piping Gel and cover them with the blue Sugar paste.

Ideally, prepare the eyes, horns and hats 1 or 2 days in advance so they have enough time to dry and are easier to handle

2

Roll out FunCakes Sugar Paste Bright White and FunCakes Sugar Paste Raven Black and cut out circles for the eyes. From the Blue Sugar Paste, cut half circles to create eyelids. Attach everything to the dummy balls with FunCakes Edible Glue. Leave to dry and insert lollipop sticks into the whole balls (keep the half balls separate).

3

Use a sharp knife to cut the tips off the ice cream cones. Melt FunCakes Deco Melts and dip the cut ends into the melted coating. Let them set in the fridge and, if desired, dip them a second time.

4

Roll out FunCakes Sugar Paste Fire Red thinly, cut into narrow strips and twist them into ribbons.

5

Attach the ribbons to the cones with edible glue and place a FunCakes Soft Pearl Medium White on top of each. Once the eyes are dry, stick the hats onto the eyes. Take two equal pieces of FunCakes Sugar Paste Electric Yellow and shape them into horns. Smooth the bottoms, insert a cocktail stick, and let them dry thoroughly.

6

Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C) and grease one half-sphere pan and one round baking pan with FunCakes Bake Release Spray.

7

Prepare 330 g FunCakes Mix for Sponge Cake Deluxe according to the instructions on the package. Divide the batter between the pans and bake the cakes for about 30 minutes until golden brown. Let the cakes cool down by using a cooling grid.

8

Prepare 200 g FunCakes Mix for Buttercream as indicated on the package and flavour it with a FunCakes Flavor Paste of your choice.

9

Cut the cakes twice with the Wilton Cake Leveler, then fill and cover them with buttercream. Place the half-sphere biscuit on a matching FunCakes Cake Board on top of the round cake.

10

Knead the FunCakes Sugar Paste Bella Blue until smooth and roll it out to about 2–3 mm thickness. Cover the cake neatly with the Bella Blue Sugar Paste, so the base is smooth and even. Shape a mouth from a roll of FunCakes Sugar Paste Raven Black and attach it with a little edible glue.

11

Roll out FunCakes Sugar Paste Bright White and cut out small, square teeth. Then shape a tongue with the Sugar Paste Fire Red,  cut a line down the middle for detail, and attach it in place. Fix the half dummy balls onto the cake with FunCakes Piping Gel to create eyes. Roll out FunCakes Sugar Paste Mellow Yellow and FunCakes Sugar Paste Spring Green thinly, cut out small circles and stick them all over the cake.

12

Insert the horns and eyes into the cake. If desired, break off a piece of the lollipop sticks to vary the height.

13

Roll out Sugar Paste Mellow Yellow and FunCakes Sugar Paste Spring Green thinly, cut out small circles and stick them randomly on the cake with FunCakes Edible Glue. Insert the horns and eyes into the cake. Optionally break off a piece of the lollipop sticks for variation in height.
