Everything you need to make the kawaii figures
Before you get started you need a few things. These are the basics you need to have to get started:
• FunCakes Sugar Paste in multiple colours
• FunCakes Food Colour Paste
• FunCakes Edible Glue
• FunCakes Sprinkle Dusts Glitter Rose
• FunCakes Soft Pearls Black
• FunCakes Xanthan Gom
• Moddeling tools
A kawaii apple a day keeps sadness away
Make a kawaii apple figure
- Knead the FunCakes Sugar Paste Pastel Pink with a very small amount of FunCakes Xanthan Gom and form it into a smooth ball.
- Press a hole in the top of the ball with the bulbulous cone, also make two holes for the eyes with this. With a little FunCakes Edible Glue, stick the FunCakes Soft Pearls Black in the holes. Push the front of a teaspoon into the pink ball to get the mouth. If necessary, make two small holes in the corners of the mouth.
- Knead the FunCakes Sugar Paste White and Brown together to get light brown, make a stalk from this and stick it on top of the apple.
- Shape a drop shape from a piece of Sugar Paste Pastel Green, flatten it a bit and give a grain with a knife. Glue the leaf next to the stalk on top of the apple. With the FunCakes Sparkle Dust and the small brush from the set, give the apple a blush. It is best to wait until the apple is reasonably dry.
With your head in the clouds
Make a kawaii cloud figure
- Knead a part of the 125 g FunCakes Sugar Paste Bright White with a little FunCakes Xanthan Gom and roll it out to a thickness of 0,5 cm. Cut out the same size cloud twice and glue it together with FunCakes Edible Glue.
- Make a few small balls of Sugar Paste and stick them here and there on the cloud and press slightly flat. Cover the cloud with a thin piece of white Sugar Paste.
- Prick two holes for the eyes in the cloud with the bulbulous cone and stick two FunCakes Soft Pearls Black in it. Make a mouth with a knife.
- Give the cloud a blush with the FunCakes Sparkle Dust Glitter Rose.
Oink oink oink
Make a Kawaii pig figure
- Knead the FunCakes Sugar Paste Pastel Pink with a small amount of FunCakes Xanthan Gum. Form a smooth ball out of this (or part of it, depending on how big you want it).
- Prick two holes in the ball with the bulbulous cone and stick two FunCakes Soft Pearl Black in here for the eyes.
- Colour a piece of FunCakes Sugar Paste White dark pink, with the FunCakes Food Color Gel Pink. Make a pig nose out of a small ball and glue it on.
- Make the holes in the nose with the back of a thin brush. Roll out the remaining dark pink sugar paste very thinly and, using the cutting wheel, cut two ears and stick them on the head.
- Give the pig a blush with the FunCakes Glitter Dust Rose.
Let's get fruity!
Make a pear kawaii figure
- Knead the FunCakes Sugar Paste Pastel Green with a little bit of FunCakes Xanthan Gom and form into a pear shape.
- Prick holes on top and on the front and stick in the front holes FunCakes Soft Pearls Black.
- Colour a small piece of FunCakes Sugar Paste White light brown with the Food Color Gel and shape the stalk. Glue this stalk with FunCakes Edible Glue in the hole on top of the pear.
- Make a mouth with a knife and give the pear a blush with the FunCakes Glitter Dust Rose.
Huey, Dewey and Louie
Make a kawaii duck figure
- Knead the FunCakes Sugar Paste Pastel Yellow with a little bit of FunCakes Xanthan Gom. Form a large and small smooth ball from this and put this on top of each other with a little FunCakes Edible Glue and a stick
- With the bulbulous cone make one hole on top of the head and two on the front, stick two FunCakes Soft Pearls Black in here for the eyes.
- Roll out some FunCakes Sugar Paste Yellow very thin and cut out wings and a crest for the head. Glue the crest with FunCakes Edible Glue in the hole on top of the head and the wings on the side of the body.
- From the FunCakes Sugar Paste Orange form a beak between your fingers and stick this on the head with some Edible Glue. For the feet, cut out a small heart shape with the cutting wheel and glue it to the front of the body.
Hello birdy!
Make a kawaii bird figure
- Knead the FunCakes Sugar Paste Pastel Blue with a small amount of FunCakes Xanthan Gom. Remove a small piece for the wings and form the rest into an oval.
- Make two holes with the bulbulous cone and stick two FunCakes Soft Pearls Black in it for the eyes. Shape a beak from a piece of FunCakes Sugar Paste Orange and glue it on.
- Roll out a piece of FunCakes Sugar Paste White very thin and make a heart shape with the cutting wheel. Glue this on the front of the bird. Roll out the FunCakes Sugar Paste Orange and cut out two small hearts for the feet and glue this to the front of the bird.
- Roll out thin the piece of FunCakes Sugar Paste Pastel Pink and cut out two small flowers with the smallest flower plunger and stick this on the bird. Finally, roll out the FunCakes Sugar Paste Pastel Blue thinly and with the cutting wheel make two wings, stick this against the side of the bird.
When life gives you bananas, make banana figures
Make a kawaii banana figure
- Knead the FunCakes Rolfondant White smoothly with a little bit of FunCakes Xanthan Gum and make a banana shape out of this. Flatten the bottom and carefully straighten.
- Use the bulbulous cone to make two holes for the eyes and stick the FunCakes Soft Pearls black in them. Make a mouth with the front of a teaspoon and press small holes in the corners of the mouth if necessary.
- Knead some FunCakes Rolfondant Pastel Yellow smoothly with some Funcakes Xanthan Gum and roll it out to a thickness of 1 to 2 mm. Using the cutting wheels, make 3 banana peels and stick them overlapping on the banana with some edible glue.
- Give the banana a blush with the FunCakes Sparkle Dust, do this when the banana is reasonably dry.
Hopping into joy
Make a kawaii rabbit figure
- Knead the FunCakes Sugar Paste Pastel Lilac with a small amount of FunCakes Xanthan Gom and form a smooth oval from this. Keep a small piece for the ears and feet.
- Using the bulbulous cone, poke two holes on the front and stick two FunCakes Soft Pearls Black in here with some FunCakes Edible Glue for the eyes. With the wide side of the flower/leaf tool make the notches for the nose and mouth.
- With a small piece of FunCakes Sugar Paste Pastel Pink make a nose and glue this to the head with some edible glue. Roll out the remaining lilac sugar paste to a thickness of about 3 mm and using the cutting wheel, cut out two ears and two feet.
- Carefully push the stick into the ears and stick it on top of the head. Stick the feet against the front with some edible glue. Give the rabbit a blush on the cheeks and inside the ears with the FunCakes Glitter Dust Pink.
Make it even bigger!
Make a kawaii big pear figure
- Knead the FunCakes Sugar Paste Pastel Green with a little bit of FunCakes Xanthan Gom and form into a bigger pear shape.
- Prick holes on top and on the front and stick in the front holes FunCakes Soft Pearls Black.
- Color a small piece of FunCakes Sugar Paste White light brown with the Food Color Gel and shape the stalk. Glue this stalk with FunCakes Edible Glue in the hole on top of the pear.
- Make a mouth with a knife and give the pear a blush with the FunCakes Glitter Dust Rose.
We couldn't miss this one
Make an octopus kawaii figure
- Knead the FunCakes Sugar Paste Pastel Lilac fondant with a little FunCakes Xanthan Gom. Form about half of it into a smooth ball. From the other half make 8 tentacles.
- With the bulbulous cone, push two holes in the ball and stick two FunCakes Soft Pearls black in here with some FunCakes Edible Glue for the eyes. With the wide back of the flower/leaf tool make a mouth.
- Make from the FunCakes Sugar Paste Pastel Lilac a dark purple with the FunCakes Food Color Gel. Make a lot of mini balls and press them with the bulbulous cone, this way you will get little suction cups. Stick these suction cups on the tentacles and curl the tentacles here and there.
- Lay all the tentacles around on a cardboard and stick the head of the octopus on it with some edible glue. Roll out a piece of dark purple sugar paste wafer-thin and cut out a few small circles with the round plungers and stick them on the head. Give the octopus a blush with the FunCakes Sparkle Dust.
