

Meringue Bows
These meringue bows are trendy, delicious and incredibly easy to make. Perfect as a dessert for Valentine’s day, birthday dinners or other festive occasions!
What you need to make your meringue bows:
Ingredients
- 14 g FunCakes Meringue Powder
- FunCakes Food Colour Gel Pink
- 375 g granulated sugar
- 125 ml water
Necessities
- FunCakes Decorating Bags 46 cm
- FunCakes Parchment Paper Sheets
- Wilton Spuitmond #1M Open Star (2x)
Preheat the oven to 115°C (convection oven 100°C).
Make sure the mixing bowl and whisk are completely grease-free and always use a clean spoon when adding the sugar.
Put 14 g FunCakes Meringues Powder together with 125 ml lukewarm water in a mixing bowl fitted with a whisk and mix on high speed until white foam forms. While mixing, gradually add 375 g fine granulated sugar and continue mixing until the foam forms stiff peaks.
Divide the foam into two parts and colour one part soft pink using FunCakes Food Colour Gel Pink. Prepare two piping bags fitted with a #1M piping tip and fill the bags with the meringue foam.
Pipe bows onto baking paper on a baking tray and let them ‘dry’ in the preheated oven for 1.5 hours.
After the baking time, let the meringues cool down in the oven.
