
Millionaires Shortbread
Cake, chocolate and caramel. Delicious on their own, but even better together. Love biscuits, rich chocolate and creamy caramel? Then this Millionaire Shortbread is made for you.
With its buttery shortbread base, a smooth layer of caramel and a generous chocolate topping, this classic treat is pure indulgence in every bite. Perfect to enjoy during iftar in Ramadan, as a sweet moment at suhoor or to serve on your Eid dessert table. Simple, rich and irresistibly good.
What you need to make your millionaires shortbread:
Ingredients
- 250 g FunCakes Mix for Cookies
- 350 g FunCakes Chocolate Melts dark
- 300 g FunCakes Rich Caramel
- 75 g butter
- ½ egg (approx. 25 g)
Necessities
- Wilton Recipe Right Square Pan 20 x 20cm
- Wilton Parchment Paper Roll
- Wilton Decorator Preferred Spatula Angled 22,5 cm
Preheat the oven to 180° C (convection oven 160 ° C).
Prepare 250 g FunCakes Mix for Cookies as indicated on the package. Let the dough stiffen in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Cover a square baking pan with baking paper and cover it with the dough. Make sure that the dough has the same thickness (approx. 1 cm). Bake the cookie bottom in 20-25 minutes until it is golden yellow. Let the bottom cool down in the baking pan.
Melt 300 g FunCakes Rich Caramel in a bowl according to the instructions on the package and spread this evenly over the cookie layer. Let this set in the fridge for 15 minutes.
Melt the 350g FunCakes Chocolate Melts Dark according to the instructions on the package and pour this on to the caramel. Let this set in the fridge for 20-25 minutes.
Tip! Salted caramel is delicious. Sprinkle some sea salt over the caramel layer before you cover it with chocolate.
Remove the shortbread from the pan once the chocolate is cooled down and hard again. Cut the millionaire shortbread in squares of 4 x 4 cm with a sharp knife. Serve at room temperature.
