  • 14 g FunCakes Meringue Powder
  • FunCakes Food Pen Black
  • 375 g fine granulated sugar
  • 125 ml water

Recette de Summerween Meringue Ghosts

Line a baking tray with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 110°C (convection oven 100°C). Make sure that the mixing bowl and whisk are completely grease free. If they are not, the meringue will not whip up properly.

Add 14 g FunCakes Meringue Powder, 125 ml water and 125 g granulated sugar in the mixing bowl. Using a whisk attachment, mix on high speed for 6-8 minutes until a thick, white foam forms. Then, while mixing, gradually add the remaining 250 g sugar. Continue mixing on high speed for another 6 to 8 minutes until the meringue is stiff and glossy.

Put the meringue in a piping bag fitted with decorating tip #1A and pipe small dollops onto the prepared baking tray. Dry the meringues in the oven for 1 hour. Afterwards, leave them to cool in the oven with the door open.

Use the FunCakes Food Pen Black to draw eyes and mouths on the meringues. Melt the FunCakes Deco Melts Orange according to the instructions on the packaging and dip the bottoms of the ghosts into the melted Deco Melts. Place the meringues back onto the parchment paper and leave them to set in the refrigerator for 5 minutes.
