Skillet cookie with marshmallows
What’s a skillet cookie? A skillet cookie is a large American cookie baked in a skillet or ovenproof pan, giving it crispy edges and a soft centre. It tastes just as good as it sounds and is perfect for sharing with family and friends. Even better, it’s the perfect homemade treat to make for Father’s Day.
Was Sie brauchen, um Ihre skillet cookie with marshmallows:
Zutaten
- 400 g FunCakes Mix for Cake Brownie
- 100 g FunCakes Chocolate Drops White
- FunCakes Ready To Use Ganache Dark Choco
- White marshmallows
- 125 g unsalted butter
- 1 egg (approx. 50 g)
Notwendigkeiten
- FunCakes Bake Release Spray
- FunCakes Parchment Paper Sheets
- Skillet 15 cm
Preheat the oven to 200°C (convection oven 180°C).
Mix 400 g FunCakes Mix for Cake Brownie with 125 g butter and 1 egg in a mixing bowl until you have a firm dough. Mix in 100 g FunCakes Chocolate Drops White at the end.
Spray the skillet with baking spray. Cover the bottom and sides of the skillet with half of the dough.
Heat the FunCakes Ready To Use Ganache Dark Choco slightly in the microwave so it is easier to scoop from the jar. Fill the skillet with ganache (about 2/3 of the jar).
Roll out the remaining dough between two sheets of parchment paper into a round shape. Place it on top of the ganache and press the edges of the dough together.
Bake the cookie for approximately 25-30 minutes in the preheated oven. Keep an eye on the cookie after 25 minutes to make sure it does not become too dark. The top should still feel slightly soft when gently pressed. During the last few minutes of baking, place a generous amount of BBQ marshmallows on top of the cookie. Let them soften in the oven.’
Tip! If you want the marshmallows to become slightly golden brown, place the skillet under a hot grill for a moment or use a crème brûlée torch.
Spoon the cookie straight from the skillet and enjoy together. Extra delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Be careful! The skillet is very hot and stays hot for a long time. Because of this, the cookie will continue to bake slightly after removing it from the oven.
