Prepare 500 g of FunCakes Mix for Gingerbread as indicated on the packaging.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of about 2–3 mm. Lightly grease the back of the paper house templates with a bit of butter and place them on the dough to cut out with a sharp knife. Place the cookies on the baking tray and bake for about 10-13 minutes until done. Let them cool flat on the counter.
Tip! If you don’t have any cookie cutters in the shape of the typical Amsterdam houses. Print the outlines on paper, cut it out and use this as cookie cutter.
Prepare 250 g of FunCakes Mix for Sponge Cake Deluxe as indicated on the packaging. Grease the baking pan with Bake Release Spray and spread the batter into it. Bake the cake in a preheated oven for about 30–35 minutes until lightly browned. Let the cake cool down by using a cooling grid.
Prepare 225 g of FunCakes Mix for Royal Icing as indicated on the packaging. Prepare two decorating bags with decorating tips #003 and #018 and fill them with royal icing.
Decorate the cookies as desired and let them air dry. Create the snow on the roofs using royal icing and a small brush.
Prepare 75 g of FunCakes Mix for Enchanted Cream® as indicated on the packaging and flavour it with FunCakes Flavour Paste Lebkuchen.
Cut the sponge cake twice horizontally using a cake leveler and fill and cover the cake with the cream.
Prepare another 75 g of FunCakes Mix for Enchanted Cream® as indicated on the packaging. Cover the entire outside of the cake until you can no longer see through it. Then tap the cream with a spatula to create a rough and playful texture.
Finally, press the cookies against the sides of the cake into the cream.
Tip! Do this right before serving, otherwise the cookies may become soft!
