Prepare 500 g FunCakes Mix for Cookies as indicated on the package. Wrap the dough in cling film wrap and chill for one hour in the refrigerator.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection 160°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Briefly knead the chilled dough until smooth, then roll it out to a thickness of about 2 mm. Cut out stars in your desired size. In some of these stars, cut a smaller star from the center, creating an open star. Bake the cookies for 9-12 minutes until lightly golden, then let them cool on the counter.
Prepare 450 g FunCakes Mix for Royal Icing as indicated on the package and add a touch of FunCakes Strawberry Flavour. Once the icing is thick, gradually thin it with a few drops of water until it reaches a yogurt-like consistency. Do this in phases, adding water slowly to avoid thinning it too much.
Take a few tablespoons of the Royal Icing and colour it black, leaving the rest white. Place the icing in two decorating bags with a coupler and tip #003. Cover half of the whole cookies with royal icing and allow them to dry, preferably overnight.
Spray some of the black-iced cookies entirely gold with metallic spray, and splatter metallic food paint on the others using a brush.
Use the undecorated cookies as the base. Place an open star on top with a bit of icing, filling the center gap with golden sugar strands and a small written message on parchment paper. Secure a decorated cookie on top with a bit of royal icing, creating a three-layered cookie stack.
