Recette de Shimmering Christmas cookies

1

Prepare 500 g FunCakes Mix for Cookies as indicated on the packaging. Wrap the dough in cling film and let it chill in the fridge for at least one hour.

2

Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C).

3

Remove the dough from the fridge, knead it briefly until smooth, and roll it out on a floured work surface to a thickness of 2-3 mm. Cut out shapes and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake the cookies for 9-12 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Allow them to cool flat on the countertop.

4

Warm a jar of apricot jam briefly in the microwave and strain it to make apricot glaze.

5

Knead the desired colours of FunCakes Sugar Paste until smooth and roll them out to a thickness of 2 mm. Cut out shapes and attach them to the cookies with a little apricot glaze.

6

For the Christmas trees, lightly brush the sugar paste with water using a large flat brush. Sprinkle white sugar pearls on top and let them dry. For the Christmas stars, use a Katy Sue mould to create poinsettias. Layer them with edible glue and attach the flowers to the cookies with apricot glaze.

7

For the gingerbread sugar paste men, use the back of a brush to make two small holes and insert black sugar pearls. Create scarves from white fondant, add texture with a knife or tool, and attach them to the men using edible glue.
