You make the bows and the bats on wire a day in advance so it can dry well!
To do this, knead the different colours of sugar paste well with a little tylo powder and roll it out to a thickness of about 2 mm. Using the FMM Multi Strip Cutter, make strips 2 cm wide and 12 cm long. Stick the ends together with a little edible glue and let them dry on the side.
Cut a pair of bats from the black sugar paste, dip the end of half a Culpitt Flower Wire Silver into the edible glue and gently push it through the bat and let dry flat on a piece of kitchen paper. Wrap the wire with the black tape.
Colour the FunCakes Sugar Paste Skulls as you see fit with the FunCakes Edible Markers.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C) and grease the baking pans with FunCakes Bake Release Spray.
Prepare 250 g FunCakes Mix for Sponge Cake Deluxe as indicated on the package. Divide the batter into 4 portions and colour it with the black, green, orange and purple FunCakes Food Colour Gel. Spoon the batter into the baking pans and bake the cakes for about 13-17 minutes until done. After baking, let the cakes cool down by using a cooling grid.
Prepare 200 g FunCakes Mix for Buttercream as indicated on the package, flavour with the FunCakes Flavour Paste Lemon Zest and colour it blue with the FunCakes Food Colour Gel Aqua Blue.
Stack the coloured sponge cake slices on top of each other and fill and spread all around with the blue buttercream. Let it set for an hour in the refrigerator.
Knead the black sugar paste well, roll it out to a thickness of 2 to 3 mm and line the cake with it. Cut away the excess fondant with a sharp knife.
Melt all colours of FunCakes Choco Drip according to instructions on the package in the microwave. Pour small bits into a bowl and, using a spatula, splash the choco drip against the cake. Let this set for a while in the refrigerator.
Put a dot of buttercream on top of the cake and insert several loops of the bow into this. Put another little bit of buttercream in the center of this and again push a few loops into this until you have a nice full bow.
Stick the PME Flower Pics into the cake and put the bats on wire in here. If necessary, put a little sugar paste in first for firmness.
Stick the coloured skulls on the cake with a little choco drip.
