
Chocolate cake with ganache and pistachio nuts

Ingredientes
- 720 g FunCakes Mix for Cake Brownie
- 200 g Deco Melts Dark Choco flavour
- 200 ml whipping cream
- 150 ml water
- 4 eggs (approx. 200 g)
- 80 g + 150 g unsalted butter
- Pistachio nuts
- Edible flowers

- Wilton Decorator Preferred® Deep Round Pan Ø 15 x 7,5cm
Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C).
Prepare 360 g FunCakes Mix for Cake Brownie according to the instructions on the package. Fill a greased baking pan and bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes. Let the cake cool by using a cooling grid. Bake a second cake in the same way.
You need to bake this in two times. This amount of batter is too much to bake in one go in this size of pan!
For the ganache, warm the 200 ml whipping cream in a pan but make sure it doesn’t boil. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the 200 g Deco Melts. When you have added all the Deco Melts let it cool completely on the counter.
Put the ganache into a mixing bowl and whip it on high speed with 150 g soft unsalted butter until you have reached a nice fluffy ganache cream. This will take approximately 8-10 minutes.
Cut the cakes both in half and fill and stack the layers on top of each other with a layer of ganache in between. Start and finish with a bottom layer of the cakes. This way your cake will be nicely taut.
Cover the cake with a thin layer of ganache and let it set in the fridge for half an hour. Than again cover the cake with a thicker layer of ganache. For a robust look you don’t have to do it neatly.
Roughly chop the pistachio nuts and place them on top of the cake. Decorate with some edible flowers.
