  • 100 ml milk
  • 95 ml water

Recette de Christmas cake roll

Whip 400 ml whipped cream until nearly stiff. Mix 80 ml water with 100 g FunCakes Natural Bavarois and 40 g FunCakes Forest Fruit Flavor Paste until smooth, then mix this with the whipped cream.

Lay a few sheets of cling film on the counter and spoon the bavarois along the length. Roll tightly into a roll about 6 cm thick and place in the freezer, ideally a day in advance.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare 150 g FunCakes Mix for Sponge Cake Deluxe as directed on the package. Spread the batter over the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden and set.

Place the frozen bavarois on the cake and cut the edges to match the cake, fully wrapping the bavarois log with the seam on the bottom. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and place in the fridge to allow the bavarois to thaw.

Melt FunCakes Dark Chocolate Deco Melts as directed on the package in the microwave. Place the cake roll on a rack with a baking sheet underneath and pour the warm Deco Melts over it. Chill in the fridge for about 15 minutes to set.

TIP! Reuse the Deco Melts on the baking sheet for next time by letting them harden, breaking into pieces, and storing.

Prepare 75 g FunCakes Mix for Enchanted Cream® Choco as directed and divide between two decorating bags with decorating tips #1M and #125.

After the Deco Melts set, spray the cake roll with metallic gold. Place the roll on a serving plate, piping a zigzag on top with decorating tip #125 and a shell border along the bottom with decorating tip#1M. Attach chocolate pieces to each end of the roll and finish with chocolates and crispy chocolate balls.
