Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C) and grease the baking pan with Bake Release Spray.
Prepare 150 g FunCakes Mix for Sponge Cake Deluxe as indicated on the packaging. Pour the batter into the pan and bake the sponge cake for 30-35 minutes until light brown and cooked through. Turn it out onto a cooling grid immediately after baking and let it cool completely.
Prepare 125 g FunCakes Mix for Buttercream as indicated on the packaging and flavour with FunCakes Flavour Paste of your choice. Slice the sponge cake into two or three layers using a cake leveller. Place the bottom layer on a drum with a bit of buttercream, fill the layers, and coat the cake with buttercream. Chill in the fridge to set.
Knead 500 g FunCakes Sugar Paste Shimmering Rose until smooth and roll it out to a thickness of about 2-3 mm. Cover the cake with the sugar paste. Use FunCakes Fondant Twinkling Green to create long and short strips, attaching them along the edge of the cake with piping gel in a swirling design.
Create a cushion from the remaining Shimmering Rose Sugar Paste. Shape a ball, flatten it, and use a cocktail stick to make small holes. Carve lines radiating from the holes for a tufted effect, and place FunCakes Soft Pearls Medium Bronze Gold in each hole. Cut a cake board slightly smaller than the cushion’s surface and place the cushion on top.
Knead FunCakes Sugar Paste Twinkling Green to form the frog’s body. Use a lighter shade of green, achieved by mixing white sugar paste with Twinkling Green, for the belly. Shape the front and back legs from green fondant rolls and attach them with edible glue. For the eyes, cover ochre crispy balls with green sugar paste, paint an iris with black food gel, and add a small white fondant pupil. Attach the eyes and refine the frog’s features using a Flower/Leaf tool. Add golden dots using Metallic Food Paint Gold.
Make a crown from a roll of white sugar paste, paint it gold, and decorate with FunCakes Crispy Choco Pearls Metallic Gold and golden rods. Place the frog on the cushion and secure the setup on the cake with dowels.
Roll out 250 g FunCakes Sugar Paste Sparkling Gold into a cape and drape it over the frog. Create a fluffy collar from white sugar paste by pricking it with a cocktail stick. Attach Crispy Choco Pearls Metallic Gold to the cape. Decorate the cake with edible paper flowers, sugar decorations, and choco crispy balls along the edges.
