Mix for Buttercream - Low Sugar

The low sugar FunCakes Mix for Buttercream is a creamy cream that is perfect as a filling or a swirl on cupcakes. This low sugar version contains 80% less sugar compared to the regular FunCakes Mix for Buttercream.

Mix for Buttercream – Low Sugar

Chicory fiber, stabiliser: E420, modified starch (corn), whey powder (milk), dextrose, gelling agent: E339, E450, E516, E401, emulsifier: E435, salt, thickener: E415, natural flavouring (butter), flavouring.

For allergens, see ingredients in bold. May contain traces of: gluten, egg, soy and lupin. Excessive consumption may induce laxative effects.

Store in a cool, dry place.

Preparation

Mix 200 grams of FunCakes Mix for Buttercream – Low Sugar with 200 ml of water and beat with a whisk.

Let the mixture rest at room temperature for at least one hour.

Beat 240 grams of unsalted (cream)butter for approx. 5 minutes until creamy.

Add a part of the mixture to the butter and beat until the mixture has been completely absorbed before adding the next part.

Once all of the mixture has been added, beat to a smooth buttercream (approx. 10 minutes).

You can colour the buttercream with a food colouring in a colour of your choice or give the cream a flavour with one of the many FunCakes flavour pastes.
