Recette de Long sheet cake

1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan oven 160°C) and grease the baking pan with bake spray.

2

Prepare 1 kg of FunCakes Cupcake Mix as instructed on the package. Gently fold the batter into the greased baking pan and bake the cake for about 45-50 minutes until light brown and fully baked. (Check doneness with a skewer if needed.) Let the cake cool almost completely before turning it out onto a cooling rack.

3

Prepare 300 g of FunCakes Enchanted Cream® Mix in two separate portions of 150 g mix with 100 ml water and 100 ml milk. If you mix everything at once, it won’t become properly fluffy. Add the flavor paste to taste.

4

Trim the edges of the cake with a sharp knife to make them straight. Then, cut the cake in half lengthwise and use a cake leveler to cut each long piece in half horizontally.

5

Place two long bottom layers of cake end-to-end and spread a layer of Enchanted Cream® on top. Scatter some halved blueberries over the cream. Place the second cake layer on top.

6

Coat the outside of the cake with Enchanted Cream®. It doesn’t need to be perfectly smooth; a slightly rustic look is fine.

For the green touch, we used Asparagus

7

Melt the FunCakes Deco Melts according to the instructions in the microwave. Trim the flower stems to the desired length and dip the ends in the melted Deco Melts. Let them harden in the fridge for about 5 minutes.

NEVER just stick cut flowers into a cake! The sap from the stems can seep into your cake, giving it a nasty, bitter taste. ALWAYS dip the ends in melted Deco Melts or chocolate to prevent this

8

Decorate the long cake as desired with the flowers. Creating different heights with the flowers adds a charming, rustic touch to the cake.

Ivy (Hedera) is nice but very toxic, so never use it!
